Skills days and practice sessions

Run three times per year, twice in Brisbane and once in Ipswich, Skills Days aim to provide a high quality day of practical skills learning.  Professional health staff are joined by senior TROHPIQ members resulting in a great teacher-student ratio and skills are chosen for their hands-on and fun nature.  They’re a great introduction to TROHPIQ, an event where you can learn more about what we do and talk to people who know what it’s like to learn and practise outside of the city, all whilst learning useful stuff and having a good time!

Practice sessions

Practice sessions take place after Skills Days and are, suprisingly, designed to give Skills Days’ attendees an opportunity to practise the skills learnt.  Being less formal than Skills Days, participants come and go as they please thoughout the session.  They’re supervised by senior TROHPIQ members who ‘nudge’ them in the right direction should they go astray.  In short, they’re low key but very useful.
