Lend a hand to NAIDOC Family Fun Day 2012

NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) week is a special week for celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture, and achievements.  There are a multitude of events during the week, and we encourage you to visit www.naidoc.org.au if you want to read more about it.

TROHPIQ and TIME are again running a stall at the popular Family Fun Day at Musgrave Park, and we are looking for volunteers to come help out. As the name suggests, it is a fun day with activities for all ages, including rides, food, cultural performances, bands, art stalls, free gifts from stalls (including ours) and information stalls.

What we need from you are just a couple of hours of your time:

Date: Friday, 9th July (the day runs from 9am-5pm)
Location: Musgrave Park → entry from the Cordelia Street carpark, West End
Your role: Chat to kids about school etc while giving them a deadly arm plaster to show their friends or painting their face (all equipment provided)

If you’ve never done plastering before, or you want to get some more practice, Family Fun Day is a great day to learn how or try out your new skills.

If you’re interested, please fill out our form with which hours you’d like to help out. There will be plenty of time for you to peruse the other stalls and watch the performances, too!
