Join TROHPIQ for the biggest event of the nursing and allied health calendar. A glorious weekend awaits, full of discipline specific and transdisciplinary skills training, team challenges, delicious food, a themed dinner (theme tba), and a chance to meet and mix with some incredible people. All of this will occur in the delightful little town of Stanthorpe.
GET EXCITED!! ONLY $50 for the whole weekend. This will cover transport, accommodation, themed dinner, breakfast, two days of skills training, and a chance to explore the picturesque Stanthorpe surrounds. Check out our promotional video. Please register your interest here. First in will get preference. Please also note that you need to be a TROHPIQ member to be eligible to attend this event. TROHPIQ membership is available by following the link from here. Please also note that the nature of the skills mean that they will likely be of most interest to first and second year students, however all year groups will be considered. Skills stations will be run by local qualified health professionals in each field. Individual skills will be confirmed closer to event (but they will definitely be good).
Skills stations- advanced assessment and manipulation of the knee, oedema management and bandaging, radiographical assessment, life support and airway management, type 1 and type 2 diabetes in the pharmacy, life support and airway management, swallow assessments, and information resources on communicating via modified Makaton. Can’t wait to see you there!! Information is also available on Facebook. If you’re after other details, please email Trent Calcutt at membership@trohpiq.org.
