NRHSN NextGen Conference

Join in the Next generation of rural and remote health in Canberra, 15-17 August 2013.

TROHPIQ members from all health faculties are encouraged to apply.

The NRHSN’s NextGen Conference will focus on Leading the Future of Rural Health. The program will include skills workshops, networking opportunities along with professional development. Forums for the sharing of ideas and information which will help inform policy and program development for a sustainable rural and remote health workforce will be features in the program. The conference will be informative, inspirational, aspirational and practical.

A welcome dinner will be held for all delegates on the evening of the 15 August and the conference program will be held 16 and 17 August. The event will be held at Rydges Capital Hill in Canberra.

Cost to students is expected to be $250

Application assessment
Once the six applications are submitted by the Rural Health Club, it is the Conference Convening Committee who will be assessing the applications. They will be looking for:
·        A mix of disciplines
·        A mix of students with proven leadership experience, rural health contribution and rural leadership potential.
A Rural Health Club may be asked to verify why the chosen applications were put forward; they need to be ready to answer this in a short time frame. Documenting the application assessment process is required.
