GP Grounds Rounds is an educational series with a focus on rural health issues. It is run quarterly, on a Thursday evening, at the media studio on the USQ campus in Toowoomba. Each night has a theme, and two cases on topics within that theme are presented to both a live studio audience and registered viewers via online “live-streaming”. A panel of specialists and experts discuss the topic and provide advice for rural doctors on the management and areas of consideration relating to the case.
The next Grand Rounds event will be held on Thursday November beginning at 7pm and will have a case on each of Endocrinology and Renal Disease. Students are welcome to attend in person or can register to watch via live stream – registration for both options is via the QRME website (http://www.qrme.org.au/grand_rounds/ – please scroll to the bottom of the page for the registration form).
Previous Grand Rounds can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/user/QRMELearning as well as some additional educational material.
