Red Earth is a social enterprise that runs cultural Immersions for high school students. These trips are 11 day camping trips into remote Indigenous communities where students learn about culture from Elders, work on a volunteering project, and enjoy the natural beauty of Australia. The trips run from June to October, and travel to remote Indigenous Communities in Cape York and in Central Australia.Every year, we engage with 10-20 volunteers who travel with each trip to help with basic logistics and organisation on the ground. Volunteers accompany paid Red Earth trip leaders, we cover all expenses, and we run all volunteers through an training program so they are prepared for their trips. We are looking for passionate young people who can work independently as leaders with high school students in remote IndigenousTROHPIQ members would certainly fit the bill and we would love to have some applications from your club.
