Health Workforce Queensland will be running a FREE “Go Rural” Skills and Information Day on 19th March 2016. Registration is now open!
The “Go Rural” campaign with funding from the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) was developed to raise the profile of rural communities and encourage urban/city based medical professionals/students to consider short and long term rural employment opportunities. Health Workforce Queensland will be delivering a skills and information day to medical and allied health students, who will get to try their hand at topics such as Diabetes, ALS, Mental Health and Paediatrics. Attending delegates will also hear from inspirational speakers and Health Workforce Queensland representatives and be given the opportunity to ask questions regarding recruitment, locum, family support services and financial incentives and training opportunities.
