13th Annual Joint Rural Health Club Weekend, 2016
Friday, 30th September – Monday, 3rd October 2016
The 13th Annual Joint Rural Health Club Weekend (JRHCW) 2016 will be heading to Cooktown, in Northern Queensland for a 4 day weekend filled with academic, social and cultural activities designed to showcase rural health and get students learning about the local community.
This event is open to medical, nursing, allied health and dentistry students who are members of the rural health club at their respective university.
About the weekend
The JRHCW is an annual event which offers the opportunity for Queensland Rural Health Club members to join together and participate in a weekend of activities to showcase rural health.
This unique opportunity will allow students to gain exposure to the academic, social and cultural aspects of practising health in a rural setting, meeting like-minded peers from around the state who may be future colleagues in the outback. Attendees will also meet current practising rural health professionals, learn skills in a rural setting, gain exposure to a variety of disciplines and participate in activities promoting the rural lifestyle.
If you have any questions or for more information regarding the JRHCW, please make contact with your Rural Health Club representative.
