(Yr 3 Stream A: Rural and Remote Health)
The Discipline of Rural Medicine has responsibility for the streams of learning that focus on rural and remote health. At the core of the student learning experience is a supervised six week placement undertaken in a rural or remote placement site using a combination of hospital, general practice and/or community-based activities. The placement is preceded by a one-week preparatory program (orientation week) and concludes with debriefing week.
